Right... and every time I hear present atrocities excused with ancient "history", I'm reminded of the scene in Apocalypse Now, where Willard finds Kurtz's manuscripts, after having slaughtered him. Written in red across a neatly typed page, Kurtz has written,
Drop a bomb.
Kill them all!
